Supply Chain Said Next Year, The New IPhone Will Adopt Integrated Touch OLED Screen

- Dec 14, 2018-

Recently, a supply chain revealed that Apple will use a new flexible OLED panel with integrated touch on at least one new iPhone next year, in order to make the iPhone thinner and lighter.

At present, the iPhone screen uses a separate touch sensitive layer, which is located at the top. The new technology makes the device thinner and lighter by integrating touch sensitivity into the OLED screen, and is provided by Samsung, a screen called Y-Octa.

Since this screen technology is not yet mature, it will only be used on the flagship iPhone in the early days, but due to the low screen of the new technology, it is expected to be applied to all iPhone product lines in the next few years.
