According to industry sources, most of the LCD equipment suppliers in Taiwan have already placed orders in 2019, as most advanced LCD factories are ready to put in the equipment in the next year.
Among them, a 10.5G production line of Sakai Display Products Co., Ltd. (SDP) subsidiary, LCD panel manufacturer, will continue to highlight such activities in the first half of 2019, and then begin mass production in the second half of the year.
According to sources, SDP's 10.5G production line has a total investment of 61 billion yuan (US$8.785 billion) and a monthly capacity of 90,000 glass substrates, which will be used to produce large-size panels of 43-65 and 75-inch. Taiwan's LCD equipment suppliers, including Mirle, C Sun and Acter, have cut into SDP's 10.5G product line supply chain.
According to the news, Alliance Automation defeated Japanese competitors to obtain orders for clean room storage from SDP, and C Sun has begun to provide related equipment to SDP.
In the third quarter of 2018, the net profit of Alliance Automation reached NT$231 million (US$7.47 million) and earnings per share of NT$1.18. In the first three quarters of 2018, the total net profit was NT$708 million, NT$3.62 per share, and gross profit was 17.73%. October revenue was NT$1.202 billion, an increase of 8.65% year-on-year. Year-to-date, total revenue was NT$11.776 billion, an increase of 20.16% year-on-year. In 2019, it is expected that the revenue of Alliance Automation will achieve a 10-20% year-on-year increase.
According to sources, as 19 8/8.5G LCD factories will be launched in 2022, most LCD equipment sales will continue to climb in the next few years.
