Smart projection to replace traditional TV? It’s too early

- Aug 16, 2018-

According to relevant statistics, in the first half of 2018, the domestic intelligent projection sales reached 1.117 million units, an increase of 125% year-on-year; sales reached 2.57 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 157%.

From the sales figures alone, the market performance of smart projection is still remarkable, but compared with traditional TV, smart projection does not stand the test of the market. It is true that smart projection is being gradually accepted by people, but it is still too early to talk about popularization and even eventually replacing TV.

What is the reason for this? Smart projection has many advantages over traditional TV, such as no screen, but the screen placed on the wall is larger, does not need to be placed in a fixed place like a TV, takes up little space, and has less damage to vision. .

But even this is not enough to cause the desire of consumers to buy. The crux of the problem lies in the fact that the light problem of smart projection is really criticized compared to traditional TV, especially during the daytime, the picture quality is not the same as traditional TV. Of course, there are also some smart projections and great progress in this area, but its high price makes it unbearable for the average consumer.

In addition, under the influence of Chinese traditional culture, TV is not only a simple audiovisual tool for Chinese people, TV has become the biggest highlight of the living room decoration, people have become accustomed to the TV set in the living room, if the living room No TV is equivalent to the incompleteness of home decoration. This also determines that spending the same amount of money, choose between TV and smart projection, most people will still choose TV, because buying TV seems to spend more value.

All kinds of signs indicate that although smart projection has been accepted by some young consumers, it still cannot shake the status of traditional TV in people's minds. It seems that from this point of view, smart projectors want to replace the traditional TV, from the beginning is destined to go the wrong way, or quietly on the road to popularization!
