First of all, the active promotion of panel makers and brand manufacturers led the growth of surface panel shipments in 2016. With the completion of the COA process transformation, panel panel production capacity will continue to grow rapidly. Panel makers represented by Samsung and AUO have actively promoted the development of the LCD curved panel market. China's panel maker Huaxing Optoelectronics has also actively joined and layout curved panels. At the same time, Samsung, TCL, Hisense, Changhong, Konka, and Leh are also actively promoting brand names. Curved TVs are high-end models for these brands. Sales volume will increase profits.
In addition, the spread between the curved panel and the flat panel is continuously shrinking, and the pulling of the curved panel panel continues to increase. In early 2015, the price difference between the curved panel and the flat panel was at the level of 15%-20%, and by the end of 2015, the spread has narrowed to less than 10%. In 2016, with the expansion of scale and capacity investment, panel makers will certainly adopt a more aggressive pricing strategy, continue to narrow the price gap with flat panels, and may even achieve the same price as curved panels and flat panels.
